Professional History
I am a vocational school graduate with 15 years 2D Auto Cad drafting and design experience in 3 engineering fields. My chosen field of study was Electro-Mechanical Design Drafting. I graduated with a 3.3 GPA and spent the first 8 years of my career following that path. Most of my work history has come via contract assignments which has afforded me opportunities to learn and experience things I might not of had the chance to see and do otherwise.
Upon graduation I entered the Microwave Communications field as a board draftsman revising existing drawings from red-line mark-ups. I convinced management of the cost saving features in going to an electronic based engineering department that was more suited for their planned growth.
For the next 8 years I remained in the Electro-Mechanical field; Microwave Communications, Medical Laboratory Robotics and Electronic Controls Operating Systems for heavy equipment, increasing my responsibilities over time. In April of 2001 I was contracted for, and assigned the responsibility of changing a production facility's manufacturing process from a standard overhead system to the Kan-Ban System of Manufacturing. This was a term contract that involved the hiring and managing of an 8 person transition team who's task it was to find assembly discrepancies, review engineering documentation and initiate the appropriate ECR and ECN procedures. I authored the color-coded parts bins labeling system and a matching color-coded Isometric Exploded Assembly Manual for all 4 production lines.
Since that assignment, I have obtained electrical drafting experience in low voltage DC current for Cathodic Protection, wiring harness layout and design, Architectural drafting and design, Civil Engineering design, Quality Control, and most recently, and small part assembly. I also have Production Management experience where I increased productivity while reducing cost of labor and cost of direct materials. I managed 7 direct and 31 indirect reports and maintained all production scheduling.
As you can see, I have a very diverse career background which points to a deep desire to succeed, a very short learning curve and excellent memory retention. I possess excellent communications skills, pay extremely close attention to details, and take great pride in my work and my work ethics.
I am a very result-driven professional with excellent planning and organizational skills, along with a high degree of detail orientation. Managing my time and efforts, making allowances for the unexpected, has always been a part of my regime. My greatest satisfaction comes from knowing I can be counted on to complete all of my assignments with a high degree of accuracy in a minimal amount of time, using all of the resources available to me. I currently posses valid certifications in both Hi-Lo and scissor lift operations.
